Drums have been used throughout history in ritual, as healing tools, and for accessing alternate states of consciousness. Many of the world's cultures share in this tradition.
In addition to offering a selection of ready made drums, I teach workshops where you will be guided to create an 18" frame drum. The rawhide used is most commonly elk though drums of deer, horse, moose, or buffalo can also be made depending on availability of materials. Classes take about 3 to 4 hours to complete. Depending on the climate of where you live, drums will take between 2 to 4 days to dry though we've found that its true voice will not reveal itself for another week.
