Every physical illness has a spiritual component. By treating that spiritual illness the practitioner is able to affect the physical body thereby bringing relief and healing. . Shamanism can also help us not just in the spiritual but also in the practical day to day issues that we, in this modern world, are faced with. Our guides can aid us in navigating transitions in our personal relationships, careers, or phases in our lives.
I have been trained in the following methods: Sound Healing, Spiritual Empowerment, Extraction, Soul Retrieval, and Divination. However, the guides choose which modalities are appropriate for each individual. One or a combination of any of these methods could be involved in a single session.
EXTRACTION is exactly what the word implies. It is the job of the shamanic practitioner to find that which does not belong inside the client and remove it. The spirit intrusions appear in a variety of forms, all of them unnatural. They can be physical illness or emotional in nature. However I have no attachment to whatever it is I have been told to remove.
EMPOWERMENT is needed when a client has lost some or all of their power. This can happen because of codependency or other forms of emotional abuse. It can manifest in chronic disease or depression. Other times people freely give their power away.
SOUL RETRIEVAL - Illness, addiction, physical or emotional trauma, are some of the reasons soul loss occurs. It is the job of the practitioner to find these soul pieces and return them to the person seeking help, giving them balance, wholeness, and the ability to move forward in their lives. Some signs of soul loss can be depression, anxiety, a feeling of disconnection, or hopelessness.
There are times when it is extremely useful to teach shamanism to a client in order root out deep seated issues as a result of trauma. The client may not be aware that it could be the cause of current physical or emotional challenges. Connecting individuals to their own guides is an empowering experience, enabling them to continue the healing and guidance beyond what transpires during sessions.
